Experience the timeless, untouched beauty of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana – widely recognised as the predator capital of the world! Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Okavango Delta is a rare network of inland waterways, channels and islands. This region promises unique sightings of wildlife sprawling its grassy plains, including lion, elephant, antelope, buffalo and if you’re lucky, maybe even a pack of African wild dogs. To get closer to the sights and sounds of the Okavango Delta, be sure to hop on a game drive, take part in a guided walking safari or meander through a maze of islands and lagoons onboard a traditional mokoro dugout canoe.
Machaba Camp and Little Machaba Camp
Machaba Camp offers a perfect balance of class and comfort, with ten luxury tents nestled in the treeline along the Khwai River and overlooking the vibrant Moremi Game Reserve. This eco-aware camp is ideal for first-time safari travellers or well-seasoned safari experts looking to explore its magnificent surroundings. Safari activities include game drives, birding safaris, walking safaris and traditional mokoro safaris on a dugout canoe, meandering through the charming waters of the lagoons.
Presenting a smaller and more intimate option, Little Machaba Camp shares the same island as Machaba Camp but has just four luxury tents on raised wooden decks, each providing extraordinary views of the concession and all its inhabitants.
Gomoti Plains Camp
This exclusive area has been a well-kept secret for many years due to its phenomenal concentration of wildlife which thrives on the Gomoti plains. Ideally sheltered beneath a canopy of acacia trees, the Gomoti Plains Camp is equipped with raised tents on wooden decks boasting panoramic views of the floodplains beyond. Here you’ll be treated to delicious meals encompassed with a mixture of local cuisine and home-style cooking, served Al Fresco under the African sky.
Ngoma Safari Lodge
This boutique lodge is an oasis in a wildlife wonderland on the doorstep of Chobe National Park – home to the largest population of elephants in the world. The lodge is set on a plateau and has eight river-facing suites overlooking the Chobe River and floodplain where lion, leopard, elephants, buffalo and large herds of migratory zebra can often be spotted. You’ll love this lodge for its unassuming and contemporary design which is styled to blend into its natural surroundings in the Chobe Forest Reserve.
