Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe roughly 14,650 km in size, and therefore a superb destination for spotting a wide selection of animal varieties. In addition to being home to the largest elephant population in the world, Hwange has over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of bird, innumerable insects, spiders, amphibians and reptiles roaming through its vast lands.

Verney’s Camp

Featured in Tatler’s Top 101 hotels for 2019, the luxurious Verney’s Camp is nestled in the extremely remote 10,000-hectare private concession in Hwange National Park. The camp offers ten luxury tents, tucked away within a beautiful amphitheatre, fringed by teak forests.

Each room provides a unique view of the waterhole which often becomes the playground for the famous elephant herds of Hwange National Park.

Deka Camp

Resting on the top of low foothills, Deka Camp is one of the most remote camps in Hwange National Park. Located within a private concession, you’ll be treated to some of the best game drives including the chance to spot an exciting variety of animals only visible by night! This secluded camp offers just six distinctive lodges made from thatch, local rock and canvas.

Deteema Springs Camp

If you’re looking for a wholesome safari experience, Deteema Springs is ideal for you! Located in the north-west of Hwange National Park, this area is famous for its large concentrations of all varieties of wildlife species which may be encountered on walking safaris or game drives. Deteema Springs is designed with a ‘Less is More’ style while complimented with all the facilities of a luxury camp.

Robins Camp

On the prowl for some predators? Robin’s Camp has the highest concentration of lion in Hwange National Park. You’ll also experience some of the greatest sightings of buffalo in Africa – where herds of over 2000 can be seen. The camp is located in the rugged Northern area of the park and is made up of open grassland, rocky outcrops and woodland – making it a unique safari destination to visit.
